I spent quite some time this morning looking at video slideshows. Gosh! There are a plethora of options – bells, whistles, free/limited, pro/more extensive, duplications…. I appreciated Shelly’s referral to Larry Ferlazzo’s Blog. He has a great entry – “Best Ways to Create Video Slideshows”
As of July 6th, Larry had added another tool – Slidestaxx – I will check this out, too, to do my full ‘story’ in the next day or so.
In the meantime, I played around with One True Media, though felt very constrained by the free 30 second length. Half my time was spent cutting DOWN what I had loaded up, noticing only AFTERWARDS that there was such a strict limit. For my purposes in my classroom, free, easy to use, and meaningful postable length will be the three essential criteria for any video storytelling tool….
